In 2015, Babusenan Brothers came out with their debut film Chaayam Poosiya Veedu (The Painted House). The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) refused to clear the film for exhibition in India because the directors refused to delete scenes where the female lead appeared in the nude. Finally the brothers fought the CBFC in the Kerala High Court and the film was cleared without any deletions.
In 2016, they brought out Ottayaal Paatha (The Narrow Path). The film won several awards at home and abroad.
In 2017, the brothers came up with Maravi (Lost).
In 2018, they brought out Sunetra (The Pretty Eyed Girl).
In 2019 they fought the Censor Board to win the right to certify their anti-right wing film IRUTT (Darkness).
In 2020, they have come up with their philosophical film Maya: the Search for Happiness. Maya is set up like a thriller. The film is now ready for the festival circuit.
All their films are produced by FIFTH ELEMENT, a production house comprising close friends Doney Joseph, K. Sreekumar, Tommy John and the brothers.
